Are you or your dog new to the sport of Barn Hunt, Urban Locating, Trailing & Locating and other rat scenting sports? Go beyond learning the basics in this four week class which introduces dogs to the quarry, develops seeking skills while building confidence and motivation. This class is open to dogs four months old and older. Dogs of all ages, breeds and sizes are welcome.  The last two weeks of these trials feature NASDA Urban Locating trials in addition to instruction.  Entry fees are included in your class fee.

This fun and energetic class builds confidence, focus and fitness through creative engagement with objects in your dog's environment.  Sometimes called urban agility, parkour teaches dogs not only to go over, under, around, through and on virtually anything, but it helps develop impulse control and problem solving skills.  Each class uses a circuit training approach where each dog and handler will work on their own station then rotate to the next station.  It's fun, exciting and dogs who home tired!  Exercises can be tailed for puppies and seniors too!  Dogs should be in good health and comfortable working around other dogs.

Leslie McDevitt's Control Unleashed program is designed to help dogs that struggle with anxiety, over arousal, or reactivity in stressful environments. The program was initially developed for agility dogs, but has since been adapted for a variety of dog sports and activities, as well as for companion dogs. The program utilizes patterns to create predictability and grow confidence in our canine partner.

Our Control Unleashed 101 course is for teams new to the program. This class is appropriate for human or dog reactive dogs, dogs struggling to focus in new environments, competition sport teams seeking to improve performance and any team wishing to grow their relationship and communication skills. Class is taught in a safe and supportive environment. Visual barriers may be used to help teams best succeed. This class is limited to four dogs.

For October 2024: We are offering two private four week sessions of Control Unleashed 101.  This is perfect for dogs that are not yet ready for group classes or returning students that are working on specific goals using pattern games.  Each session is four weeks long and each class is 30 minutes.  The cost is $200.  Please text us at 775-298-1552 or email us at revolutiondogsports@gmail.com to secure your spot.

Wag & Woof Enrichment Zone

Our Wag & Woof Enrichment Zone is a specially designed space that promotes physical, mental, and sensory stimulation for dogs. This area tailored to meet a dog's natural instincts to explore, problem-solve, and engage in physical activity, helping them lead healthier and more fulfilled lives. Wag & Woof is a little different each week so there is always something for your dog to explore. It's like a private indoor dog park for you and your dog!

Interactive Puzzles & Toys: Engaging activities like treat-dispensing toys, puzzle feeders, or snuffle mats that challenge a dog’s problem-solving skills and reward them for thinking.

Climbing & Crawli/ng Areas: Small ramps, platforms, or tunnels to encourage climbing, crawling, and exploring, which build confidence and provide physical exercise.

Textured Surfaces & Sensory Experiences: Different surfaces like grass, sand, gravel, or water features that stimulate a dog's senses and create a more dynamic environment for them to explore.

Scent Work Areas: Sections of the zone designed for nose work or scent detection games, allowing dogs to use their most powerful sense—smell—to track scents and solve scent puzzles.

Agility or Obstacle Courses: Equipment like weave poles, jumps, and balance beams that encourage agility and coordination while providing physical challenges.

Relaxation Zones: Calm, quiet areas with comfortable bedding or shaded spots for rest and relaxation, ensuring that dogs can unwind after play or training.

By providing dogs with varied activities, a canine enrichment zone helps reduce boredom, alleviate stress, and prevent behavior issues that arise from a lack of stimulation. It can also support their overall health by keeping them mentally and physically active.

Wag & Woof is available by private reservation so there is no risk of running into other people or dogs. Participants must have a current ring rental agreement on file. The cost is $30 per hour for one handler and all their dogs.

Ring Rental:  09/07, 09/08,09/14, 09/15, 11/25, 11/26/, 11/27 - Ring Rental is available weekdays by request.  Just ask!
